Lifespan Medical Imaging offers Computed Tomography (CT or CT Scan) imaging at locations throughout Rhode Island. Computed tomography imaging uses a combination of x-rays and advanced computer technology to produce more detailed, cross-sectional views of the body:
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Three-dimensional (3D)
These images show bones, muscles, fat, organs, and blood vessels.
Our radiologists work in tandem to assure that all CT scans are of the highest diagnostic quality and use newly developed techniques that reduce radiation exposure. Precise imaging protocols are designed and monitored by our radiologists to minimize radiation exposure.
